Novitiate is the starting Rank within The Galactic Order military. With exception to equipment, authority, or benefits, these units are granted full access to the tasks and opportunities of Troopers, Operators, and Medics (within reason) to determine their path.
When offered their 1st promotion to Rank 1, Novitiates may choose between the 3 available Divisions: Combat, Engineer, or Medical.
Although this choice can be changed, Divisions are viewed as long-term commitments of duty. For this reason, it is recommended that Novitiates study the roles and responsibilities of each option before making a decision.

Ensign Troopers act as the starting Rank within the Combat Division. These units are the primary infantry of The Galactic Order military, with 5 operational duties in their mission statement within a Company, Platoon, or squad formation:
Though inaccurately viewed as expendable by comparison to other rank 1 units, Ensign Troopers often experience more extensive combat training, with greater exposure to combat maneuvers, tactics & formations than other units of their shared rank. They also enjoy unlimited weaponry access, operating without restriction to their available ordinance loadout, unless stated by a superior officer.
These units have limited authority within the chain of command, answering to Lieutenants & Commanders.
At higher Marks, 1st or 2nd Ensign Troopers will often receive higher tier assignments, such as special operations that require a greater level of experience, knowledge, and skill.
Ensigns are not viewed as specialty units, so they hold no restrictions to division progression and may advance in rank (following promotion offer) if they desire added responsibilities & authority.
Note: Promotion to Rank 1 unlocks Full Benefits and Battalion Transfer out of Academy.
Disclaimer: These units may be asked to perform tasks outside their mission statement based on operational needs.

Lieutenant Troopers bridge the gap between Ensigns and Command within the Combat Division. These units are the first rank of authority in The Galactic Order’s military infantry, with 8 operational duties in their mission statement within a Company, Platoon, or squad formation.
Lieutenant Troopers are well experienced in combat training, combat maneuvers, tactics & formations, well enough to be granted mid-level authority within the chain of command, answering to Commanders & Leadership (see Authority section).
At higher Marks, 1st or 2nd Lieutenant Troopers will often plan & execute higher tier assignments, much like command, leading special operations that require a greater level of experience, knowledge, and skill.
Lieutenants are not viewed as specialty units, so they hold no restrictions to division progression and may advance in rank (following promotion offer) if they desire added responsibilities & authority.
Disclaimer: These units may be asked to perform tasks outside their mission statement based on operational needs.
Lieutenants have the authority to Report units for Duty, of their Same Division (Only) & Novitiates. With subordinates that report for Duty, the Lieutenant is responsible for recording & reporting all Progression to Command. This is limited to all completed: Patrols, Squad Kills (PvP), Missions and Warnings.
Lieutenant Troopers may host Patrols, co-host Events (serving under a Commander), and track progress for other units of Combat Division & Novitiates.
Note: Lieutenant Progenitors may track progress for units of Any Division.

Also referred to as “Mech Troopers”, these Rank 3 specialized Combat units are viewed as the most destructive ground forces within The Galactic Order’s military. These walking Bulwarks of destruction are fearsome unstoppable warriors, unleashed onto the battlefield with the sole purpose of eliminating all life, with 8 operational duties in their mission statement within a Company, Platoon, or squad formation.
Due to the highly calamitous and hazardous nature Titan Troopers pose to friend and foe on the battlefield, this role will be a challenging endeavor to achieve, requiring a strong competency in combat, engineering, squad formations, and circumjacent perception.
Their Primary objective is to serve in ground assault operations, often in a squad of Troopers, Medics and Spec-Ops units. In combat settings where a Mech is not available or practical for use, such as boarding actions or inaccessible locations, Titan Troopers will fight alongside their fellow troopers. Outside of ground combat, these units maintain their Mechs or assist engineers in repairs, resource management and basic rearm, refuel & resupply operations.
A Titan Trooper’s suit is not just a weapon or tool, but an extension of their pilot. These are the only units within The Galactic Order military authorized to operate Combat Mechs during official patrols, events & operations.
Disclaimer: These units may be asked to perform tasks outside their mission statement based on operational needs.
Titan Troopers do not have authority to Report lower ranked units for Duty. However, they may instruct lower Ranked units in the absence of a Lieutenant or Command. They may be issued orders from a Squad Leader (role) but are otherwise only instructed by Command.
Titan Troopers may co-host Patrols / Events (serving under a Commander), but they do not track progress for other units.
Note: Titan Trooper Progenitors may host Patrols, co-host Events (serving under a Commander), and track progress for units of Any Division.

At higher Marks, 1st or 2nd Commanders will organize several high tier assignments, command multiple squads, and even oversee key aspects within their assigned Battalion, such as Support vehicles or Outposts.
Commanders are not viewed as specialty units, so they hold no restrictions to division progression and may advance into Leadership (following promotion offer) if they desire added responsibilities & authority.

They hold responsibility for the safety of their battalion as well as the enforcement of policy and laws within all Galactic Order Territory, working closely with Engineer Commanders & Medical Commanders from other divisions.
Trooper Commanders may host Patrols / Events, file progression reports for other Rank 3 units (or lower), and promote Novitiates in Academy or Combat Division members within their Battalion.

Outriders operate within the Spec-Ops sub-division branch of the Combat Division. Unlike 1st & 2nd Outriders, who are experienced and trusted for solo operations (under orders), Outriders generally provide support in combat, with 4 operational duties in their mission statement within a Company, Platoon, or squad formation:
Outriders are viewed as specialty units within The Galactic Order military, with equal rank and access as a Lieutenant, but limited authority within the chain of command, answering to Lieutenants & Commanders.
With a larger number of combat privileges, but limited progression within their Division for the sake of balance (see Mission Types), Outriders are not designed to advance in rank.
Disclaimer: These units may be asked to perform tasks outside their mission statement based on operational needs.

ARC Trooper (aka: Advanced Reconnaissance Commando Trooper) operates within the Spec-Ops sub-division branch of the Combat Division. When operating outside independent mission assignments (under orders), ARC Troopers act as elite soldiers & enforcers, with 5 operational duties in their mission statement within a fleet, battalion, or squad formation:
ARC Troopers are viewed as specialty units within The Galactic Order military, with equal rank and access as a Commander, but limited authority within the chain of command, answering to Leadership directly (see Authority section).
With a larger number of combat privileges, but limited progression within their Division for the sake of balance (see Mission Types), ARC Troopers are not designed to advance in rank.
Disclaimer: These units may be asked to perform tasks outside their mission statement based on operational needs.
Despite sharing the same rank as a Rank 3 Trooper Commander, these units hold limited authority in the Chain of Command outside of high threat combat or Security Officer duties, as they mostly lead teams for top priority missions, or provide personal protection for their Captain. They can be a useful resource for planning tactical operations and have a voice in Command but are not considered part of Command themselves, forgoing any related responsibilities.
ARC Troopers may co-host Patrols / Events (serving under a Commander), and track progress for other units of Combat Division & Novitiates.
Note: ARC Trooper Progenitors may track progress for units of Any Division.

Agent is an alternate progression option within the Special Ops sub-division, achievable through promotion from Outrider (only). Because Outrider progression is not recorded officially, they will not be privileged to details regarding their promotion prerequisites and will simply be notified when they qualify.
Special Note: The Promotion to Agent will require a comprehensive and advanced trial, testing the individual’s skills, knowledge and understanding of what the role would entail. This trial may be given at any time without warning, but only to Outriders whom have shown an expressed interest in the promotion and have completed the minimum promotion prerequisites.
Agents are high-priority covert units of the Special Operations sub-division branch of the Combat Division. They operate completely off-grid, existing purely within the shadows, unregistered to battalions or rosters and with their identities known only to the highest ranked members of the Leadership division.
They specialize in deep-cover espionage, infiltration and assassination operations, often on assignment for long periods of time to eliminate political leaders and destabilize government bodies. They’ve also been rumored for use to eliminate corrupt members within the Galactic Order itself. In many instances, they will be planted within divisions as a different rank, either under orders or to simply occupy their down-time between assignments. Progression to this role is classified along with further details pertaining to the position.
If you can read this redacted text, you might be worthy of the Agent role yourself. Visit the Agent page to learn even more: 5_ranks_6.
Progression to this role is not considered an official promotion, as it is not announced or declared on the org roster, Discord, or RSI site. As such, standard promotion practices and standards do not apply.
All interest in this role should only be expressed to members of High Leadership (Rank 4+). Public knowledge will automatically invalidate candidates.

Their purpose is to serve as top-tier protective detail to Admirals of the Leadership Council and other high priority members within The Galactic Order, including the emperor. They are also an extension of the Admiralty’s will, acting outside the chain of command, completely independent from its limitations with exception to orders handed from above their rank. They also have unrestricted access and full clearance to all levels of The Galactic Order military.
They may conduct themselves however they see fit, acting in the interests of the growing empire, above all other things.
